Cover Feature: pH‐Sensitive and Self‐Regenerative Honeycomb Polymer Membrane‐Electrode Assembly for CO 2 Reduction: Shifting Selectivity toward C 2 Molecules (ChemSusChem 23/2025)
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The Cover Feature illustrates a honeycomb-shaped polymer membrane covering a copper foil membrane, which shifts Cu selectivity toward C2 molecules during CO2 reduction in KHCO3 aqueous electrolyte. The membrane’s structure and pH sensitivity limit water contact with the electrode surface while promoting CO2 conversion. The artwork symbolizes CO2 molecules passing through the bio-inspired honeycomb membrane and being converted into ethanol at the Cu surface.
