A case of intravascular leiomyomatosis with intracardiac extension

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Intravascular leiomyomatosis is a rare, histologically benign tumor that exhibits clinically aggressive behavior owing to its unique tendency to spread through the venous system resulting in life-threatening complications. Although complete surgical resection remains the cornerstone of treatment, it presents significant technical and perioperative challenges. This paper aims to outline key considerations essential for achieving a safe and complete resection.
