Abstract: The 66 th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Geological Society of India was held in two sessions -(i) between 09 -10 hrs.and (ii) from 16:30 hrs.onwards on Tuesday, 7 th October 2025, in the auditorium of UGC-MMTTC (Malviya Mission Teacher Training Centre), Kumaun University, Nainital, Uttarakhand to adopt the Annual Report and the Audited Statement of Accounts for the year ending 31 st March 2025.A total of 38 Fellows and Members attended the meeting.The AGM began with a solemn note as Shri N. Rajendran, Secretary General, announced the sad demise of several Fellows and Members since the last meeting.A two-minute silence was observed in their memory.The president who chaired the AGM, welcomed all the Fellows/Members and informed that as per the practice sealed ballot box containing the ballots received by Shri M. M. Korakoppa, Election Officer till the last date is being handed over to him for counting of the votes received and declaration of the result.The Election Officer was assisted by a team of Tellers nominated by the local host and they include Dr.
