Estimating Medicaid Reimbursement For Psychological Services

Abstract: Medicaid reimburses, on average, 74.0 percent of Medicare rates for psychological services, with nearly all states paying less than Medicare. Most states raised Medicaid reimbursement rates by 25-33 percent for three common psychotherapy and psychological testing services between 2019-21 and 2024.
