Abstract: ABSTRACT Recently, the Time Geographic literature has shown rapid expansion and the inspiration to address and explore new factors affecting the observed movement of the individual. Movement is a message, decoded for the internal states and external influences contributing to its expression. Exciting questions examining mover identity, experience and access are subject to this expanding Time Geographic perspective. However, despite these developments, Time Geography is largely formulated to examine individual movers. The movements of nonpoint entities, invisible and distributed spatial processes are understudied. Displacement in space and time among these phenomena forms a basis for a nascent set of methods characterizing their movements. With this research, we introduce the Moving Local Indicators of Spatial Association (Moving LISA), a novel, probabilistic way to extend Time Geographic thinking to the action of distributed spatial phenomena. Given a spatial time series, Moving LISA returns trajectories characterizing movement among clustering locations.
