Transmisión de la doctrina cristiano-católica en La Biblia ilustrada a todo color
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This article analyzes the modes of transmission of Christian-Catholic doctrine in La Biblia ilustrada a todo color, which was published in Spain by Bruguera in 1978. From an interdisciplinary interpretive perspective (Arnoux, 2006, 2019, 2024; Arnoux & Londoño, 2012; Londoño, 2019b, 2021c, 2024), the research examined the 24 fascicles that comprise this illustrated edition. The tested explanatory hypothesis suggests that doctrine is not transmitted through a routine stage setting, but rather through a speech scene typical of comics. This scene enables the deployment of iconolinguistic scenery. The results confirm that the work does not trivialize doctrinal content; rather, it reconfigures its enunciative devices to facilitate appropriation by new audiences. It articulates the Christian-Catholic tradition with the visual-narrative language of mass culture, thereby legitimizing its sacred authority through innovative stage design that aligns with its sociopolitical and editorial context.
