Abstract: Indigenous people in the Northeast have historically mobilized for rights. Historically, these mobilizations have been constant to secure their territories, a source of covetousness for various invaders. On the coast, sugarcane planters, and in the hinterlands, cattle ranchers, large public projects such as dams, hydroelectric plants, and currently, agribusiness, are invading Indigenous lands. We propose discussing how these mobilizations have occurred in recent years. These are ongoing mobilizations with complaints, demands, and rights, primarily for land and the occupation of sociopolitical spaces. Examples include the Indigenous presence in the National Congress, legislative assemblies, and city councils, and in various social movements for the demarcation of Indigenous lands and the affirmation of rights and ethnic identities.
