Modulation and recovery kinetics of soleus responses to peripheral nerve and transcutaneous spinal cord stimulation under different interventions
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This study provides evidence that soleus H-reflex, induced by peripheral nerve stimulation and soleus transspinal evoked potential, elicited by tSCS, exhibit similar modulations during and after interventions known to vary afferent input to spinal motoneurons. It further reveals the impact of these interventions on multiple lower limb muscles, highlighting the significant advantage of using tSCS-evoked responses as a powerful tool to assess modulations of the neuromuscular system.
