Abstract: Pavement analysis and design is an essential part of sustainable and durable road construction. Current analytical methods (Westergaard) may tend to overestimate the effect of different loading scenarios, which can be improved by means of FEM modelling. In this paper, a numerical model for one slab of jointed plain concrete pavement (JPCP) is developed to analyse the pavement subjected to traffic loading.
