Abstract: Quality in the construction industry is essential for the safety, durability, and overall value of buildings. Timber structures are increasingly popular due to their ecological and energy advantages. This study focuses on the qualitative parameters of wooden buildings and presents findings from a survey conducted among 35 entities active in the field of timber construction in Slovakia. The analysis reveals that while many entities are capable of identifying and partially declaring the quality of materials used, only about one-third actively communicate these parameters to end customers. The study highlights a gap in awareness and consistency in quality declarations and points to the need for enhanced education and standardisation. These findings suggest that improving transparency and the use of certification could strengthen customer trust and promote sustainable development in the sector.
