Draft genomes of six Streptomyces species from a United States biogeography survey

Abstract: ABSTRACT Streptomyces bacteria play key ecological and functional roles in terrestrial ecosystems. We surveyed soil samples across the continental United States, identifying six novel Streptomyces species. Here, we report the whole genome sequences of these strains and their predicted biosynthetic products, providing additional information for studying biological and chemical diversity in this ubiquitous species.
