Abstract: ABSTRACT First Person is a series of interviews with the first authors of a selection of papers published in Journal of Cell Science, helping researchers promote themselves alongside their papers. Ajay Pradhan is first author on ‘ Maturation stage-specific V-ATPase disassembly explains the neutral pH of mature mucocyst lysosome-related organelles in Tetrahymena thermophila’, published in JCS. Ajay is a PhD student in the lab of Dr Santosh Kumar at the BRIC-National Centre for Cell Science, Pune, India, investigating the formation and maintenance of lysosome-related organelles.
