Conductive Liquid Metal Vitrimer Composites for Reconfigurable and Recyclable Flexible Electronics (Adv. Funct. Mater. 50/2025)
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Recyclable Flexible Electronics In their Research Article (10.1002/adfm.202511119), Christopher C. Bowland, Mohammad H. Malakooti, and co-workers develop a new class of recyclable, reconfigurable, and stretchable electronic composites. These multifunctional liquid metal composites enable the formation of conductive traces with capabilities such as circuit reconfiguration, electrical self-healing, thermomechanical reprocessing, and enhanced thermal management. By recycling over 94% of liquid metal and reprinting circuits on reprocessed composites, the team presents a path toward sustainable materials for soft and stretchable electronics.
