Harnessing Oxidized Alginate Microgels for Rapid and Self‐Assembling Dental Tissue Organogenesis In Vitro and In Vivo
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Dental Tissue Organogenesis In article number 2500053, Zhaoming Wu, Sang Jin Lee, and co-workers investigate the use of modified fully biodegradable oxidized alginate microgels loaded with high-density dental cells to induce self-dental tissue organogenesis. Utilizing tooth-derived stem cells or embryonic cells, the system promotes self-tissue assembly in vitro, while in vivo validation demonstrates epithelial mesenchymal interactions and strong tissue integration with host tissue. This approach successfully facilitates robust 3D vascularized tissue formation and osteogenesis, highlighting significant potential for advancing craniofacial reconstruction.
