Abstract: Let G be a finite group and p be a prime number. An element g of G is called an upper S upper M Superscript asterisk $\mathrm {SM}^*$ S M ∗ -vanishing element of G if there exists a strongly monolithic character chi $\chi $ χ of G satisfying upper Z left parenthesis chi right parenthesis equals backslash kernel chi $Z(\chi )=\ker \chi $ Z ( χ ) = \ker χ and chi left parenthesis g right parenthesis equals 0 $\chi (g)=0$ χ ( g ) = 0 . In this paper, we present some results on the relationship between the orders of upper S upper M Superscript asterisk $\mathrm {SM}^*$ S M ∗ -vanishing elements of G and the structure of G .
