Type: article
This study aims to analyze and compare the translation of Islamic investment and financing terminology from Arabic into Turkish in the context of Artificial Intelligence advancements, focusing on a comparative evaluation between human translation and machine translation using Google Translate, DeepL, and Yandex Translate. The research covers four main categories: financing contracts, investment instruments, Sharia compliance terms, and ethical and regulatory concepts. A qualitative and quantitative comparative methodology was adopted to assess translation accuracy, linguistic appropriateness, conceptual consistency, and contextual relevance within Islamic financial discourse. Findings indicate that human translation achieved 100% accuracy, while machine translation ranged between 70% and 95%, with Google Translate performing best among the automated tools. The study concludes that human translation remains the most reliable approach for conveying Islamic legal and financial concepts, whereas machine translation can serve as a useful tool for modern economic and social terminology. The research recommends the development of specialized Arabic–Turkish Islamic finance glossaries, training AI systems on Sharia-based and financial corpora, and adopting a hybrid translation model that combines human precision with technological efficiency to ensure high-quality translation in academic and professional contexts.
