Abstract: Globally cephalopods are an important fishery \nresource and many species are taken in directed and \nbycatch fisheries around the world. Cephalopods make \nup only a small proportion (nearly 3 %) of the world \ncapture fisheries landings , but there hav e been \nsubstantial increases during the last three decades.
