The Hand Made Object and Its Maker
Year: 1976
Type: article
Abstract: European and non-European societies, in its judgments of the reliability of official documents, and in its unsentimental dissection of political motives, this book is obviously a product of its time-post-Vietnam War, post-Watergate. It is strongly recommended to specialists in culture contact, northeastern ethnohistory, and the historical roots of modern colonial politics and warfare, as well as to anthropologists concerned about interdisciplinary communication within the social sciences.
