Abstract: Poorly managed growth creates major problems such as inefficient transportation patterns, excessive infrastructure costs and reduced productivity in the workplace. The Growth Management Institute worked with graduate students in the Master of Urban Planning program to develop a document which analyzes impacts of growth management techniques from other regions and assesses their applicability in Wisconsin. The document includes recommendations for southeastern Wisconsin communities which were studied in the course.
