Abstract: Three themes are discussed in the context of Zalabardo’s Pragmatist Semantics: (1) the possibility of a “use based” theory of meaning, given the problem of collateral information; (2) maintaining the contrast between pragmatist and representational meaning grounds; (3) the possibility of a non-representational semantics for realist semantic discourse.
