Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: : - This review offers an in-depth analysis of the current state of emerging and re-emerging viral diseases in India, with a focus on recent outbreaks and their implications for public health. It examines critical viral pathogens including Zika virus, Nipah virus, Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF), and Kyasanur Forest disease (KFD), exploring their epidemiology, clinical features, and control measures. The review emphasizes the rising incidence of these infections due to factors such as environmental changes and zoonotic transmission. By synthesizing recent research and outbreak data, the review aims to improve understanding and preparedness for these infectious threats. It highlights the importance of effective surveillance, timely diagnostics, and public health strategies to mitigate the impact of these diseases.
