Abstract: In 2024, the laboratory of “Landscape architecture” of the Institute of Dendrology of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan organized a scientific expedition to Heydar Park, Khatai district of Absheron, studied the taxonomic composition of ornamental trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants, their origin, design compositions in regular (geometric form) and landscape or landscape (original form) styles, rules for using small architectural forms, forms of pruning ornamental trees and shrubs, prospects for using ornamental plants in various plantings.
