Evaluating the Effectiveness of Early Warning Detection Systems: Benefits and Drawbacks

Abstract: Flooding, which happens when the water level rises, is one of the worst natural disasters that can happen. Not only will the flood create greater damage, but it will also take a long time to recover. Regularly monitoring the water level is the only method to minimize the harm and preserve human life. Water levels in systems like reservoirs and dams need to be checked and monitored on a regular basis. The suggested system can forecast the water level. The GSM sim900A module, which will be interfaced with the most popular microcontroller, the "ATmega328," the same microcontroller used in the Arduino Uno, is the foundation of the research for the Flood Monitoring System. In order to monitor the water level, this microcontroller will also be connected to a water level monitoring sensor. We have discussed the benefits and drawbacks of the early warning detection system in this study.
