Thiene bucculenta Pavesi 1895: 527. Thyene bucculifera Strand 1909: 45. Material examined. MOZAMBIQUE: Tete: 1♂, IV.1947, leg. C.F. Roewer (SMF 9918), 1♂ (SMF 9927), 1♂ (SMF 9912), 1♂ (SMF 10371). Zambezia: Mount Mabu, Transect 8, 16°17’56’’S, 36°23’44’’E, 17.IV.2022, leg. G.M. Daniel (sweeping, shrubland), 1♂ (NMBA 19046). Distribution. Known from eastern and southern Africa. These are the first records from Mozambique.
