Type: conference-paper
Abstract: Teaching reading is the most critical part of literacy education, although it has numerous challenges that educators take into consideration in order to ensure effective learning results. This article counts the most difficulties associated with teaching reading, namely linguistic diversity, varied cognitive abilities, limited motivation, and inadequate resources. This article shows how these challenges affect learners of different age groups and backgrounds, particularly in multilingual and settings. To solve these issues, proven strategies such as phonics-based instruction, differentiated teaching, integration of technology, and fostering a print-rich environment are given in this article. Emphasis is placed on the importance of teacher training and collaborative learning to enhance reading comprehension and fluency. By combating these challenges with evidence-based approaches, educators can create more practical and effective reading instruction, encouraging learners to achieve lifelong literacy skills.
