Abstract: François de Vieilleville received the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the Université de Bordeaux, Talence, France, in 2007. After 4 years of academic post-doctoral studies he decided to focus on earth observation related problems. Through the combined use of inverse problems, GP-GPU computing and deep learning he pushes for more innovation in image processing. He is the CTO of Agenium Space, Toulouse, France, a French company working on the development of edge-artificial intelligence (AI) techniques for satellite imaging and embedding AI to on-board satellites.
