Abstract: This presentation discusses the methods used to mitigate bias and enhance data quality through co-design, specifically with data-driven and participatory personas, in a research project to develop personalized mental health technology with adolescents. It is particularly informative for researchers working on projects that aim to implement an intervention or solution and is in an early stage, although the methods described are also applicable to exploratory qualitative research with underrepresented participant communities.
