Abstract: This package allows interested parts to replicate the survey done for the paper: Patterns of Process Adjustments for Architectural Uncertainties: A Survey of Professional PerspectivesAbstract:Architectural uncertainties in software development represent significant challenges, often leading to delayed decision-making, increased costs, and compromised project outcomes. This study explores the effectiveness of specific patterns—Protective Guideline, Bring the Specialist, Plan for Preparation, and Quality Checkpoint—in managing these uncertainties. Drawing on a survey of software professionals, the research evaluates how these patterns are applied in real-world scenarios and examines their impact on enhancing knowledge, ensuring compliance, and reducing uncertainty. The results indicate that these patterns are generally effective, with Protective Guideline and Bring the Specialist being particularly impactful in managing complex architectural decisions. However, the study also highlights that the additional resource requirements and coordination efforts associated with these patterns can introduce challenges, suggesting that their application should be carefully managed.
