DevForge : Freelancing Platform for Developers
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The speedy rise of freelancing in the software development market has revealed substantialinefficiencies in current platforms. Conventional freelancer-client matching is predominantly dependent onmanual keyword-based searching, yielding poor profile optimization, incorrect project assignments, andlack of discoverability. Furthermore, sign-up processes on existing platforms prove to be cumbersome, deterring new and younger developers from fully participating. This paper presents a new AI-poweredfreelance platform designed expressly for developers, utilizing conversational AI onboarding, automatedprofile maximization, and semantic project matchmaking to raise accuracy and efficiency. In contrast tocurrent solutions, this platform combines GitHub portfolio linking, milestone tracking, and AI-aided projectrequirements gathering, largely diminishing manual labor while enhancing freelancer-client communication. The system's retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) model and local AI chatbots provide secure, smart, andfrictionless communication. By prioritizing Gen Z-friendly user interfaces, gamification, and features thatcreate communities, this platform seeks to revolutionize freelancing for coders. The solution increasesproject visibility, simplifies communication, and builds a collaborative environment, ultimately enhancingclient satisfaction and freelancer retention.
