The work utilizes general scientific and specialized methods, including generalization, analysis, synthesis, comparative, graphical, and other methods.Results. The article provides a detailed analysis of the current state of the glass processing industry market, estimates approximate loss levels, and identifies the factors behind them. The next step involves examining foreign economic activities, reviewing statistical data on export–import operations and market geography. Using the "Trade Map" information portal, the article analyzes existing restrictions and protective measures applied by Ukraine against countries exporting products to the domestic market. The article concludes with an exploration of measures aimed at protecting the domestic industry, reviewing the experiences of other countries, and summarizing the findings as conclusions on Ukraine’s protectionist policy in the glass processing sector.Conclusions. Ukraine’s protectionist policy is extensive and well–planned, though currently insufficient, as this sector has received limited attention for many years. In recent years, the country’s policy has focused primarily on protecting domestic enterprises and ensuring an adequate supply of glass for all market consumers. The analysis reveals that Ukraine’s use of protectionist policies for the glass production sector is a necessary step to meet domestic market needs amid wartime conditions.
