Abstract: The article is devoted to the description of the methodology of applying the author's art technique of mandala “The Power of Family Unity” in the process of family psychological counseling. The author's art technique of the mandala “The Power of Family Unity” integrally combines such types of art therapy as mandalotherapy, isotherapy and metaphorical associative maps. It uses such methods as analysis, synthesis, comparison, systematization, generalization, classification, monitoring, scanning, verification, brainstorming, control and clarifying questions, etc. It can be used in family psychological counseling of spouses, as well as in child-parent family psychological counseling. The purpose of its use is to develop a sense of unity, cohesion, collective family spirit, among family members etc. The experience of applying the art technique “The Power of Family Unity” has shown that it helps clients: 1) actualize the basic individual psychological characteristics of family members that they can be proud of and that make their family strong, united, friendly and reliable; 2) determine life guidelines by understanding their own life motto and the family's life motto; 3) find internal and external resources and supports; 4) develop a sense of the power of unity, cohesion, collective family spirit, etc. Implementation of the art technique “The Power of Family Unity” in: 1) psychological practice - will contribute to the strengthening and preservation of families; 2) educational process - will contribute to the quality of professional training of psychologists, as well as the development of their practical counseling skills.
