Abstract: In today's rapidly evolving educational landscape, technology has become a cornerstone of independent study, particularly for middle school students learning foreign languages. This article explores the role of technology in facilitating independent study for secondary school foreign language learners. In an age where self-directed learning is becoming increasingly important, technology provides learners with tools and resources to enhance their language acquisition outside the traditional classroom setting. The study highlights how technology supports personalized learning, improves speaking and listening skills, and promotes interactive and gamified learning environments.
