Year: 2024
Type: dissertation
Abstract: This research explores the integration of Sustainability Strategies in the Greek Hospitality Sector, with a focus on the unique challenges and opportunities faced by Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). By analyzing quantitative data and qualitative insights from the industry, it provides critical findings on barriers such as financial constraints, knowledge gaps, and limited government support, while offering actionable strategies like targeted incentives and sustainability networks. This work addresses a significant gap in the literature by connecting sustainability practices with practical policy recommendations tailored to SMEs. It is particularly relevant for researchers in tourism management, sustainable development, and SME strategy, offering new perspectives on fostering resilience and innovation in a key economic sector. I hope this contribution sparks further discussion and inspires research on sustainability in tourism and beyond!
