Abstract: This article analyzes the pedagogical possibilities of the piano teaching process in the higher pedagogical education system. In the process of teaching the piano, the possibilities of creative cooperation between the teacher and the student, the development of students' musical thinking, and the formation of their professional skills are studied. The issues of the effective use of modern pedagogical technologies in improving the piano teaching process are also covered. The results of the study suggest methodological approaches to improving piano teaching in higher education.
