Advancing Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment Through Corporate Social Responsibility: A Systematic Review of Policies, Practices, and Impact

Abstract: Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is seen as a tool and driver of necessary efforts to improve equality between men and women within organizations and communities. This paper reviews systematically the role of CSR in promoting corporate policies, workplace diversity programs, and community initiatives to achieve gender inclusion. The study synthesizes existing literature; assesses its successful case studies; and highlights the challenges encountered in working through CSR-led gender strategies. The findings underscore the importance of a holistic and sustainability approach to CSR within the context of gender equality, specifically in the Indian context.
