Type: article
Abstract: This article investigates the phonetic similarities and differences between English and Uzbek. As members of different language families, English (Germanic) and Uzbek (Turkic) exhibit notable contrasts in their phonological systems, particularly in vowels, consonants, stress, intonation, and phonotactics. The study highlights how these differences impact pronunciation and second language acquisition. The findings are useful for linguists, teachers, and learners in both theoretical and practical aspects of language education.
