Abstract: This paper emphasis on the discussion of the role of public library to promoting digital as well as information literacy in our society.How public libraries may help our society to become more digitally literate.Public libraries in India play a vital role in promoting digital literacy by providing access to technology resources and training programs ,helping bridge the digital divide and empower individuals to navigate the digital world effectively.Public libraries can help to promote digital citizenship,which includes the ethical and responsible use of technology.They can provide resources and training on topics such as online privacy,digital security and cyber bullying.Libraries can partner with other organizations to promote digital literacy.
