Paper 23: Discrete Action Principles and Symmetry Constraints in the Holosphere Lattice
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This paper develops a discrete action formalism for Holosphere Theory, replacing the continuous least-action principle with a structural model based on coherence preservation across a rotating lattice. Orbital motion, particle mass, and inertial response emerge from quantized angular phase loops that maintain coherence below a universal dropout threshold. Projection filtering is introduced as a fundamental mechanism that selects viable defect paths based on local strain, phase alignment, and triadic symmetry constraints. Quantized states arise from loop closure, and only coherence-viable configurations persist, replacing probabilistic interpretations with structural viability. The effective mass of particles is shown to result from rotational strain energy in discrete coherence loops, with the β=3/2\beta = 3/2β=3/2 slope acting as a universal threshold for coherence percolation. This framework provides a geometric basis for quantization, coupling, and symmetry breaking, and establishes a structural foundation for the Lagrangian formalism developed in Paper 25.
