Neotropical; Chile (Roman 1910): Región Aysén del General Carlos Ibáñez del Campo (Porter 1967b; Lanfranco 1974a); Región de Magallanes y de la Antártica Chilena (Porter 1967b; Lanfranco 1974a). Comments. Brullé (1846) described Joppa viridis on a “Fem.” [=female] but according to Townes & Townes (1966) the specimen is a male.
