Abstract: One of the significant factors negatively affecting the performance of roadbeds on railways and highways is the erosion process. Erosion is the destruction of the fertile upper soil layer under the influence of natural and anthropogenic factors. This usually occurs due to wind and water impact. There are numerous methods used worldwide to protect roadbeds from erosion. The article analyzes the application of geosynthetic materials for protecting the railway roadbed from erosion processes in the desert areas of Bukhara-Misken. It examines the areas of application, properties, and scope of these materials.
