Abstract: In this paper, the impact of industrialization on Urbanization and regional development in Haldia, West Bengal has been discussed. Main research objective of this study helps in highlighting how the city’s geographical region was the reason behind numerous industrial establishments. It has been witnessed that Haldia was not only known for being an industrial hub but was also recognised as one of the renowned major export hubs of India. By trading internationally the city attracted individuals as the primary centre for job opportunities. The increase in population and more and more industries established in this region have transformed this rural city into an urban city.
