Abstract: This article discusses the issues of forming professional and cultural competencies of future music teachers through the integration of folk art examples into the process of music education. It is analyzed that educational materials based on traditional folk songs, epics, maqoms and national melodies serve as an important tool in developing aesthetic taste, national values and artistic observation skills in students.
