Abstract: This study provides a comprehensive overview of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2D), focusing on its pathophysiology, symptoms, causes, genetic influences, and global epidemiology. T2D is characterized by insulin resistance and inadequate insulin production, leading to chronic hyperglycemia and associated complications. The increasing global prevalence, especially in low-to-middle-income countries, underscores the urgency of effective diagnosis and management strategies. Additionally, the role of analytical chemistry in pharmaceutical research is highlighted, with emphasis on High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) as a reliable and precise tool for drug analysis. The process of analytical method development and validation is detailed, including key parameters such as accuracy, precision, linearity, specificity, and robustness. This framework ensures that pharmaceutical products meet stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements, which is crucial for the effective monitoring and treatment of chronic diseases like T2D.
