Precellys 7mL cryovial centrifuge holder for Eppendorf Centrifuge 5702(R) with 90mL rectangular swing bucket and A-4-38 rotor

Abstract: The Eppendorf Centrifuge 5702 (Eppendorf material # 5703000010) is a versatile device for centrifugations up to 3000g. However, the manufacturer does not offer holders for the 7mL cryovials that we use in the tissue homogenizer. To solve this problem, we have developed a holder that fits into the standard 90mL centrifuge bucket (Eppendorf material # 5702709000) in a A-4-38 rotor (Eppendorf material # 5702740004) and can hold up to 5 vials each, allowing the simultaneous centrifugation of up to 20 vials. The holders (Fig. 1) are equipped with handles that allow them to be removed from the centrifuge bucket first, making it easy to remove the vials afterwards.
