Abstract: The role of The Holy Spirit in liturgy, in the light of work „Liturgy – the source of living water” by Jean Corbon This article attempts to present the underlying idea of Jean Corbon, a priest, a valued theologian and mystic. His teachings emphasize the role of the Holy Spirit working with great power in Liturgy, the Eucharist in particular. Jean Corbon’s thought included in his work „Liturgy - the source of living water”, his in-depth understanding of liturgy, leads us to a more thorough understanding of what the Eucharist is and what happens in its key moments. He brings closer the person of the Holy Spirit, called the great liturgist of the Eucharist, as well as His mighty works that initiate the process of human divinisation through the full participation in the Eucharist. In this article, based on Jean Carbon’s work, the author also attempts at explaining what the Source of the living water is, the water that ”irrigates” our ”cracked earth” and fills in the inexpressible human longing for God, who has always loved and desired us.
