Abstract: Refugees express their traumatic lives through their powerful writings. In the contemporary scenario, war and violence have become the cause for the emergence of refugees. Religious intolerance, racial prejudices, and cultural hegemony are some of the reasons for the emergence of refugees. Christy Lefteri, being a daughter of refugee parents, records her painful journey across many countries as a hopeless refugee.
