Abstract: The genus name Tico Noyes, 2023 (type species: T. sinabelus) is a junior homonym of Tico Bahder & Bartlett in Bahder et al., 2021 (Hemiptera). As the name Tico Noyes, 2023 has no known synonyms, the name Ticito nom. nov. (urn:lsid:zoobank.org:act: C31D9B23-E356-4DB0-8EF0-77D6BE7ECBB1) is here proposed as replacement name. The name Ticito (gender: masculine) is the dimunitive in the Spanish language of the replaced name Tico, denoting an inhabitant of Costa Rica. Consequential changes: Ticito ryaspis (Noyes, 2023) comb. nov., T. sinabelus (Noyes, 2023) comb. nov.
