Microtubules in the Law of Observation Framework: Supporting Quantum Coherence in Consciousness
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The Law of Observation posits that reality and consciousness emerge from quantumfield interactions refined by observation, a universal process quantified by equations suchas Ω(t, x), Ω(C, ψ), and coherence parameter ξ. This paper integrates microtubules, piv-otal to the Penrose-Hameroff Orchestrated Objective Reduction (Orch OR) theory, withinthe Law of Observation framework, reinforcing their role as quantum coherence hubs whileoffering a complementary perspective on foundational concepts. Microtubules are mod-eled as high-coherence observers, with their signal modulation likened to a semi-permeablemembrane, enhanced by tryptophan’s pi resonance and autofluorescence. The Law of Ob-servation’s sleep for coherence mechanism addresses Orch OR’s challenge of maintainingquantum coherence in warm brain environments, providing a dynamic solution to decoher-ence. This synergy highlights how the Law of Observation supports and extends Orch OR’sinsights, fostering a unified approach to consciousness studies. Published under Zenodo ID:10.5281/zenodo.15237299.
