Structural Origin of Palindromic Sequences via Pattern Symmetry

Year: 2025
Type: conference-paper
Abstract: This paper proposes a structural hypothesis for the emergence of palindromic sequences in genetic material, rooted in natural pattern symmetry and stratified film dynamics in the primordial ocean. It suggests that molecular layers formed by sedimentation, diffusion, and charge interactions produced symmetric motifs which, upon fragmentation and reassembly, led to palindromic subsequences. These patterns then folded into stable RNA-like structures, offering an origin for early biopolymers based on physical symmetry. The theory is grounded in the Unified Pattern Theory, which describes how the distribution of field-line intersection points on closed surfaces governs stability and response to external stimuli. This concept is applicable not only to molecules but also to planetary formation, weather systems, and even social or economic pattern analysis. Author:Tetsuo Konno (今野哲夫)
