Technical Note on Quality Assessment for SkySat

Abstract: This technical note details the results of the (preliminary) mission data quality assessments (including geometric calibration, radiometric calibration and image quality) performed on a sample of products generated for SkySat (SKS), a constellation of commercial Earth Observation (EO) optical satellites operated by Planet. Beside the EDAP Maturity completion, four critical validation items have been checked for geometric calibration and validation: the absolute accuracy, the temporal accuracy, and the interband registration accuracy and stereoscopic capability.
